Digging Your Own Graves – Wike Unleashes Fierce Warning, Declares War On Rivers State Opponents
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned that those challenging him are essentially digging their own graves.
According to Naija News, Wike has been in conflict with his successor, Siminalayi Fubara, over the control of Rivers State. Speaking on Saturday to his supporters and members of his faction within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wike asserted his influence and control over the state.
He said, “Everyone is trying to fight Wike. Which Wike are you fighting? You are digging your graves. Let me tell you, this is just the beginning.”
Wike emphasized his authority, adding, “We have the capacity. Don’t mind them. In Rivers State, we will decide what happens, not what they are trying to do. Is it working? No. It will never work.”
Additionally, Wike accused the camp of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of targeting him because he refused to support Obi during the elections. He revealed that despite intense lobbying, he chose not to back Obi as he believed the bid wouldn’t succeed. Wike also claimed that factions within the PDP aiming for the 2027 presidential ticket are plotting against him, but confidently stated they would not prevail.
“There is also a gang-up within the PDP, those wanting to run for president in 2027. But I assure you, they will face difficulties,” Wike added.
