Dollar ‘To Naira Rate Today, September 2, 2026
The exchange rate of the United States dollar against the Nigerian naira at the parallel market has been reported at ₦1,403 per dollar for sellers, while buyers are offering ₦1,395.
According to information obtained from Bureau de Change (BDC) sources, the rates apply to transactions at the Lagos parallel market, also popularly known as the black market or Aboki FX.
At the reported rate, individuals selling one US dollar could receive about ₦1,403, while those buying a dollar would pay approximately ₦1,395.
The reported black market rates are different from the official rates published by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), which does not recognise the parallel market as an authorised foreign exchange market.
The CBN has advised individuals and businesses seeking to conduct foreign exchange transactions to approach their respective banks through recognised channels.
Meanwhile, the CBN rate cited for the day showed a highest rate of ₦1,335 and a lowest rate of ₦1,327 per dollar.
It is important to note that parallel-market exchange rates can vary depending on location, demand, supply and the particular Bureau de Change operator involved. As a result, the actual rate available to buyers or sellers may differ from the figures reported.
