alleged on a Channels TV program that DSS operatives subjected him to severe physical abuse. His allegations included beatings with cables and other brutal treatment during detention.

In response, the DSS, through its legal representative, Mohammed Sani Ndanusa (SAN), labeled Aminu’s statements as deliberate falsehoods aimed at tarnishing the agency’s reputation. The DSS has requested Aminu to publish a retraction in three prominent newspapers or face legal action. Interestingly, Aminu’s claims contradict statements from other protesters detained alongside him, who denied experiencing any form of torture during their time in DSS custody.
