EFCC Boss Reveals Why Nigeria Is Still Battling With Corruption

Olukoyede made these remarks during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Compliance Institute Nigeria (CIN) in Abuja on Thursday. He affirmed his support and commitment to CIN while emphasizing the pivotal role of compliance in combating corruption.
Highlighting the significance of compliance, Olukoyede stated, “The success of any process or procedure in any society is based on the issue of compliance. The difference between developed countries and undeveloped ones is simply compliance.”
He further elucidated that compliance is central to governance and corporate governance in Nigeria. According to him, achieving compliance is synonymous with ensuring effective governance structures and practices in the country.
Expressing his personal dedication to compliance, Olukoyede assured CIN of his readiness to collaborate and support their initiatives. He reiterated EFCC’s commitment to enforcing compliance and regulations, emphasizing that EFCC’s mandate aligns closely with ensuring adherence to established rules.
