However, the EFCC has clarified that this report is entirely false and misleading. According to Dayo Oyewale, the HEFCC ead of Media and Publicity of the Commission, no such list has been released, and there have been no discussions with any media outlet regarding the investigation of former governors.

The EFCC emphasizes that the public should disregard the report, as it is based on false information. Additionally, the Commission urges the media to verify facts and authenticate information with them before publishing reports to prevent the dissemination of inaccurate information.
