A detailed review of the proposed 2025 Appropriation Bill, which was submitted to the National Assembly, reveals that the presidential villa alone will require N5.49 billion annually for maintenance. The Vice President’s quarters and guest house are set for a N765 million overhaul, while the renovation of the President’s quarters will cost N6.39 million. Additionally, N49 million is allocated for refurbishing security quarters, the State House gym, auditorium, and housing for presidential aides.

Other notable expenses include N51 million for the refurbishment of Prescott barracks and the Maple State House officers’ mess in Asokoro, Abuja.

The budget also outlines N87 million in honoraria and allowances for the President and Vice President, alongside a N127 million allocation for new SUVs. Furthermore, N3.66 billion is dedicated to purchasing operational vehicles for the State House, and N1.09 billion will replace aging SUVs.

In Lagos, the State House Liaison Office will see N14.72 million for the routine upkeep of facilities, including the Dodan Barracks and Vice President’s guest houses. The renovation of the Dodan Barracks annex is budgeted at N140.10 million.

Additionally, the government plans to convert forfeited properties from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into State House residences, allocating N1.83 billion for this project. This follows the EFCC’s recovery of a vast estate in the Lokogoma District of Abuja, marking its largest asset recovery to date.
