Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred around 10:34 am when the duo, traveling on a motorcycle, fell on the road shoulder and were fatally struck by an oncoming trailer.

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials rushed them to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Their remains were later handed over to the family for burial.

The trailer driver and vehicle are currently in police custody for further investigation.
