Martins Oluwaseyi, an official from the Federal Ministry of Works, expressed condemnation for such an act and questioned why people would tamper with a public infrastructure like the bridge.
However, Oluwaseyi reassured motorists that the bridge remains safe for travel, assuring them that the incident did not impact its structural integrity.
He also mentioned that measures have been implemented to prevent a recurrence of such incidents, and investigations into the vandalism are already underway.
