The post on X platform simply stated, “Useless police force!”

ACP Adejobi, reacting to the comment, clarified that while there might be instances of misconduct by individual officers, it is unfair to label the entire police force as useless. He urged the user to direct their frustration towards specific officers rather than generalizing about the entire agency.

He emphasized, “The Nigeria Police Force is not a useless organization. Focus your criticism on those who engage in misconduct, as long as you are also upright. We are a noble, responsible, decent, and law-abiding group. Let’s concentrate on addressing misconduct by individuals, not condemning the entire institution. It’s disheartening to paint every police officer as bad and worthless. Misconduct is a personal issue, not a systemic one. If everyone upholds integrity and commitment, the system will improve.”

Meanwhile, in another development, the Rivers State Police Command announced the successful confiscation of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), firearms, and ammunition from suspected cultists. SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the command’s spokesperson, disclosed that the operation was conducted in collaboration with local vigilance groups, resulting in the arrest of a suspected cultist named Samuel Nwokoma. Nwokoma led the security team to a hideout in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt, where the weapons were discovered.
