From Niger Delta to Regional Development: Abubakar Momoh Explains The Big Shift (Video)
In a TV podcast over the weekend at Bush Radio Academy, the Honorable Minister of Regional Development , Engr Abubakar Momoh FNSE set the record straight regarding the recent change in the ministry’s name from the Ministry of Niger Delta Development to the Ministry of Regional Development.
The Minister emphasized that the adjustment was purely a change of nomenclature, underscoring that it remains the same office he occupied as the Minister of Niger Delta Development. He clarified that the name change reflects an expansion of the ministry’s scope and not a dissolution or scrapping of the Ministry or the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
He reiterated that the Ministry remains committed to its core mandate of driving sustainable development and addressing regional needs.
Watch as the Minister unpacks the necessity of the name change and its implications for regional progress in this engaging session.
