FRSC Reveals Start Date For 2026 Recruitment Exercise

According to Ireporter Online, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced that its 2026 recruitment exercise will commence on Friday, July 3, opening opportunities for qualified Nigerians to apply for various positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate, and road marshal assistant cadres.

The announcement was contained in a statement dated June 24 and signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal.

The agency stated that the entire recruitment process will be conducted online and will run for a period of four weeks via its official recruitment portal, emphasizing that applicants are not required to pay any fee as the exercise is completely free of charge. Interested candidates are expected to submit their applications through https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng.

According to the FRSC, shortlisted candidates will be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening stage. The recruitment covers three major categories, beginning with the officer cadre, which includes roles such as Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders, Deputy Route Commanders, and Assistant Route Commanders. Eligible applicants in this category include graduates in disciplines such as medicine, pharmacy, nursing, law, engineering, as well as other degree and HND holders, with age requirements generally set between 18 and 35 years.

For the marshal inspectorate cadre, the corps said applications are open to candidates with qualifications such as NCE, ND, OND, as well as registered nurses, midwives, and community health workers, with applicants expected to fall within the age range of 18 to 30 years.

The road marshal assistant category is open to candidates with a minimum of three credits in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics, as well as artisans and professionals such as mechanics, electricians, computer operators, plumbers, tailors, drivers, and motorcycle riders. Drivers applying for specialised positions must possess valid driving licences, while articulated and tow-truck drivers are required to be between 26 and 40 years of age.

The FRSC further stated that all applicants must be Nigerian by birth, medically fit, computer literate, and of good conduct. Candidates are expected to be single, provide valid contact details, and meet specified height requirements for both male and female applicants.

The corps also cautioned that all certificates must be properly declared during the application process, warning that undeclared qualifications could affect future career progression. It added that applicants must have no criminal record, must not be in debt, and should avoid body tattoos, while pregnant women are advised not to apply for the exercise.
