Fubara emphasized the belief that while humans can serve as instruments of divine assistance, they should not be elevated to the status of deities. He acknowledged the support of state leaders, particularly the immediate past governor of Rivers State, in his political journey but stressed that such support does not warrant worship.

In his words, “God works through individuals to accomplish His will. However, this does not grant those individuals godlike status. We are mere vessels through which divine purpose is fulfilled.”

Fubara expressed gratitude for the contributions of his predecessors but maintained that he cannot worship any human being, regardless of their role in his political career.
