He acknowledged the existence of a fuel subsidy, but pointed out that it had not propelled Nigeria forward due to rampant corruption. In tackling corruption, he emphasized the likelihood of facing resistance.

Governor Sani urged the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), TUC, and other trade unions to afford President Asiwaju some time, emphasizing that there are well-considered plans in place for everyone’s benefit.

He noted that the labor unions are actively engaged in the government’s efforts and are cognizant of the challenges facing the nation.

Governor Sani stressed the importance of involving the most marginalized members of society in decision-making processes regarding labor agreements. He emphasized the need to consider the vulnerable, underserved, market women, farmers, and individuals with disabilities, as they constitute a significant portion of the population.
