Gavi Extends Barcelona Stay Until 2030 With €1 Billion Release Clause
FC Barcelona has officially confirmed that young midfield sensation, Gavi, has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2030.

Gavi, whose full name is Pablo Páez Gavira, has been with Barcelona since 2015 after moving from Real Betis to La Masia. The 20-year-old Spain international made his senior debut on August 29, 2021, just after turning 17.
Despite suffering a serious knee injury that kept him out for nearly a year, Gavi made a strong comeback in October last year. Since then, he has been instrumental in the team’s success, scoring nine goals and playing a key role in securing the Spanish Super Cup.
Barcelona’s decision to renew his contract highlights his value to the club and their long-term vision for his future. To further secure their prized talent, the club has inserted a staggering €1 billion release clause in his new deal—a common strategy used by the Catalan giants to ward off potential suitors.
