This declaration came during a reception for a delegation from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Speaking through his Deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu, Governor Fubara emphasized the state government’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its citizens and delivering exemplary governance, despite facing ongoing political challenges and power struggles with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, and Wike’s allies.

While addressing the visiting accountants, led by Dr. James Ekerare Neminebor, the 13th National President of ANAN, Governor Fubara remarked on the significance of their choice of Rivers State for their annual conference.

He highlighted this decision as a testament to the state’s safe and conducive environment for both national and international gatherings, further showcasing its potential as a prime destination for investors.

Governor Fubara also urged ANAN to continue promoting excellence in financial reporting and practices across the nation.

He stressed the importance of consistency in professional financial conduct to institutionalize best practices, due diligence, and transparency in governance, aligning with his administration’s goals to uphold integrity in public service amidst political tensions.
