Road safety and automobile awareness in Nigeria, the Automobiles and Road Safety Initiative (AARSI), a prominent non-governmental organization (NGO), has appointed His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, as its Grand Patron.
This appointment comes at a crucial time when road safety remains a pressing issue in the country. AARSI aims to promote safe driving practices, raise awareness about road safety regulations, and support the development of infrastructure that ensures the safety of all road users.
Governor Buni’s leadership and commitment to improving public safety make him an ideal choice for this role. Under his governance, Yobe State has witnessed various initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of its citizens, including efforts in health, education, and infrastructure. His involvement with AARSI is expected to further these efforts, particularly in advocating for safer roads.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Buni expressed gratitude for the honor and emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing road safety challenges. He urged all stakeholders to work together in creating a safer driving environment, which is essential for the nation’s growth and development.
AARSI’s founder and executive members have also welcomed the appointment, stating that Governor Buni’s vast experience and dedication to public service will bring invaluable insight to their initiatives. They are optimistic that this partnership will lead to meaningful changes in road safety awareness and practices across Nigeria.
As the organization moves forward under Governor Buni’s patronage, the focus will be on educating the public about safe driving habits, promoting the use of seat belts, and encouraging the responsible use of road infrastructure. With a unified effort, AARSI aims to significantly reduce road accidents and fatalities in the country.
This appointment marks a new chapter for AARSI, as they look to leverage Governor Buni’s influence and leadership to champion the cause of road safety in Nigeria.
