The announcement is imminent as Governor Ododo, alongside other committee members, has arrived at the collation center to finalize the results.

This development follows a rescheduled election in Okitipupa Local Government Area due to logistical challenges that marred the initial Saturday election, rendering it inconclusive.

Governor Ododo had previously elucidated that the late arrival of election materials and personnel to the 13 wards of Okitipupa hindered the electoral process, necessitating the extension of voting to Sunday.

The rerun election encompassed all 13 wards of Okitipupa LGA, involving 9,515 validated registered party members, as stated by Ododo. The rescheduling was deemed imperative to afford all registered members the opportunity to participate, given the disruptions caused by logistical challenges.

The decision to conduct a rerun was aimed at upholding the integrity and fairness of the electoral process within the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Currently, the party, stakeholders, and observers are eagerly awaiting the official declaration, which will determine the APC’s candidate for the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Ondo State.
