Eghaegbemi made the plea after casting his vote at Polling Unit 5, Ward 6, Ikoya Igbinsin-Oloto in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday.

He expressed concern that the current economic challenges were severely impacting the elderly, urging the government to implement measures that would address hunger and alleviate the suffering of the poor.

“I came out to vote as a proud citizen of Nigeria, hoping to elect leaders who will bring good governance and ensure the benefits of democracy reach all,” he said.

“The hardship and hunger are affecting everyone, including the elderly. We urge the government to take action to reduce the impact of these hardships on the people.”

Eghaegbemi concluded his statement with a prayer for a government that would prioritize the welfare of the people, hoping for a positive outcome from the ongoing election.
