“I Never Wished Wike Dead – Fayose Clears Air On Controversial Remark”

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has declared that he harbors no ill will toward the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

According to Ireporter Online, Isaac clarified that when he publicly questioned the minister’s whereabouts, it was merely out of concern following widespread rumors about Wike’s health. He emphasized that his remarks were never intended to wish the minister harm.

He assured Wike of his prayers, commending the minister’s efforts in transforming Abuja and expressing hope that he would continue his work in good health. Isaac noted that speculation about Wike’s supposed heart attack in a London hospital was false, stressing that those spreading such claims were the real enemies of the minister.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, Isaac said: “I don’t wish Wike dead. Why would I wish him dead? He is doing great work in Abuja, and I want him to finish what he has started. I am one of those praying for him. When I asked about his whereabouts, it was because of the rumors we were hearing, not because I wished him ill.”

He further condemned activist Omoyele Sowore for labeling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a criminal, insisting that such remarks were unfair. Isaac argued that Tinubu has so far demonstrated tolerance and respect for the rule of law, unlike previous administrations. He questioned whether anyone could have made similar remarks about former President Olusegun Obasanjo without consequences.
