A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to dismiss all appointees who were installed by the sole administrator, Ibok-Ette Ibas, during the six-month suspension of the state government.

According to Ireporter Online, Eze, in a statement, advised the governor to take full control of his administration by ensuring that no one imposes commissioners or aides on him. He stressed that even former governor Nyesom Wike had publicly pledged not to influence such appointments, and as such, Fubara must resist any attempt to undermine his authority.

Eze further demanded that all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who either resigned or worked with Fubara during the suspension be readmitted into the Assembly to restore peace and stability.

The APC stalwart also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to guarantee the governor’s protection, assuring him that he would not be subjected to any embarrassment or impeachment plots by legislators he described as mischievous.

He warned that if such assurances are not given, Fubara should not hesitate to exercise the full powers of his office as the state’s chief executive.
