Turkish football pundit Adnan Aybaba has made an unusual pledge after predicting that Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen will finish behind Dusan Vlahovic and Romelu Lukaku in the Turkish Super Lig goalscoring race.

Aybaba said he would paint his entire body black if Osimhen manages to score more league goals than the two forwards by the end of the season.

According to reports, the pundit made the controversial prediction while appearing on the Turkish sports programme, Telegol.

Aybaba argued that Vlahovic is a better footballer than Osimhen and backed the Besiktas striker to finish ahead of the Nigerian international in the race for the league’s top scorers.

“Osimhen will lag behind Lukaku and Vlahovic. Vlahovic is a better footballer than Osimhen,” Aybaba said.

He then doubled down on his prediction with an unusual challenge.

“If Osimhen surpasses them in goals, I will paint myself black,” he declared.

However, the early-season statistics have already put Aybaba’s prediction under pressure.

Osimhen has scored five goals in the Turkish Super Lig so far, while Vlahovic has registered three league goals for Besiktas. Lukaku, who plays for Fenerbahce, is yet to score in the league.

With a significant portion of the season still remaining, Osimhen has plenty of opportunities to extend his tally and potentially prove the pundit wrong.
