IPMAN Urges Dangote Refinery To Lower Fuel Costs, Cites Nigerians Hardship

In an interview on Arise News, IPMAN’s National Assistant Secretary, Yakubu Suleiman, stressed that Dangote Refinery should regularly disclose its selling price and engage with stakeholders. “We’re in a deregulated market. Prices depend on international trends, and our members need to purchase fuel from affordable sources,” Suleiman said.

He pointed out that while Dangote’s fuel price per liter was N995 last week, other places sold for less. Suleiman explained that IPMAN could not mandate its members to buy solely from Dangote if the price is uncompetitive. “We must consider the costs for Nigerians,” he added, emphasizing the importance of fair pricing.
