IPOB contends that the presence of military personnel in Ogbaru constitutes an illegal and wasteful deployment of government resources.

According to Emma Powerful, the spokesperson for IPOB, the Ogbaru community remains calm and secure thanks to the assistance and protection provided by the ESN against criminals and Fulani bandits.

In a statement attributed to Powerful, IPOB condemned what it described as Governor Soludo’s efforts to suppress ESN activities to appease his Fulani benefactors. Reports suggest that Soludo has authorized a military incursion into Ogbaru, resulting in the closure of schools and disruption of farming activities.

Allegations of military intimidation and threats to burn down houses in Ogbaru have further escalated tensions in the region. IPOB criticized governors in the East for allegedly prioritizing political interests over the security of the people.

The group called on Governor Soludo to focus on addressing the developmental needs of Anambra State and to refrain from deploying security forces to suppress legitimate defense efforts by IPOB. It warned that failure to do so could result in further escalation of tensions and jeopardize the safety of the region’s residents.
