JAMB Releases ‘Fresh’ 2024 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made a recent announcement regarding the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. Furthermore, Benjamin stated that the board is currently reviewing over 64,000 withheld results and has identified an additional 11 cases of examination misconduct, bringing the total to 92. Additionally, JAMB is addressing instances of unverified candidates and will soon provide further updates on the matter.

Earlier, Benjamin explained why some candidates with high UTME scores may still face challenges in securing admission. He clarified that admission decisions are not solely based on scores but also on the cut-off marks set by individual institutions and departments. Benjamin emphasized that the UTME serves as a selection process, and even candidates with high scores may not be admitted if the demand for their chosen program exceeds available slots.
