In addition to the death sentence, the court handed Sulaiman a five-year prison term for conspiracy in the murder. The incident occurred in 2019 when Sulaiman allegedly obstructed a bride’s procession in Sauna Kawaji, Nasarawa LGA, where the fatal stabbing took place.
Justice Amina Adamu, who delivered the verdict, stated that the evidence presented in court proved the defendant’s involvement beyond a reasonable doubt. The court proceedings included testimonies from both the prosecution and defense counsel.
