According to the police, Joshua was found using the fake ID to deceive unsuspecting victims, especially POS vendors and shop owners. He reportedly employed a scam tactic by generating fraudulent receipts through his Kuda bank app, making it appear as though transactions had gone through when they hadn’t.

To gain his victims’ trust, Joshua would first execute a small, legitimate transaction, then edit the receipt to delay the notification, allowing him to trick victims into handing over money or goods without realizing the transaction had failed.

The police confirmed Joshua’s arrest and further investigations are ongoing.
