Katsina NLC To Declare Indefinite Strike If Minimum Wage Issue Remains Unresolved By Monday

Hussain Hamisu, the NLC Chairman in Katsina, expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s failure to implement the new minimum wage despite the expiration of the negotiation deadline. Hamisu explained that the decision to strike follows directives from the NLC’s national leadership after their National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Port Harcourt. He emphasized that the committee formed to oversee the wage implementation has completed its work, and if no progress is made by Monday, an indefinite strike will be declared.
