Kelechi Iheanacho Seals Shock Move To Turkey

Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho has officially joined Turkish club Bursaspor after signing a three-year contract with the newly promoted side, according to reports monitored by Ireporter Online.

The Turkish outfit confirmed the transfer on Friday, July 17, through a brief unveiling video shared across its official social media channels, welcoming the Super Eagles striker as the club’s latest addition.

Iheanacho makes the switch following the expiration of his stay at Scottish champions Celtic after both parties were unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension. During his time in Scotland, the 29-year-old played a significant role in Celtic’s successful 2025/26 campaign, helping the club secure a domestic double.

The former Leicester City forward delivered several decisive performances in the Scottish Premiership, scoring important goals against Dundee, Hibernian and Motherwell during the closing stages of the season.
