Lagos lawyer Bolanle Raheem Shot Dead On Christmas Day By Policeman

Omobolanle Raheem, a Lagos-based lawyer, was shot dead on Sunday.

Bolanle a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) was killed by a police Assistant Superintendent (ASP).

On Christmas Day, the incident occurred near the Ajah bridge as the deceased was returning from church.

Bolanle was reportedly shot while sitting in her car, with her husband beside her.

Benjamin Hundeyin, a police public relations officer, responded to the fatal shooting on Monday.

The spokesman described the officer’s action as “unfortunate and avoidable”.

“The ASP that shot and two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation”, he tweeted.
