Why I Retained FCT Minister Mohammed Bello – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his admiration for Mohammed Bello, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to NAN, the Nigerian leader praised Bello for his management transparency, honesty, and integrity.

Buhari stated during a Sunday Christmas homage at the Presidential Villa that he purposefully appointed Bello and refused to deploy him.

His remarks came after Senator Smart Adeyemi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on the FCT, described Bello as the most transparent Minister in charge of the nation’s capital.

Buhari expressed his delight at the description and thanked Bello for not disappointing him.

The President expressed his delight at how the Minister restored sanity to plot allocation in the FCT.

Buhari observed that people were used to selling allotted plots rather than developing them as required by law.

He said: ”Others also apply for land only for them to resell and get quick money for marrying additional wives”.
