According to the victims, they were arrested without proper investigation and transported to the forest in Ilesha where they were threatened with violence if they did not comply with the officials. One victim, Miracle Chukwu, recounted being forced onto a chartered bus with around 500 others, including people with disabilities, and being warned of dire consequences if they disobeyed.

Another victim, Arius Awodeji, claimed they were deceived into believing they were heading to Ikeja but ended up in the forest. Peter Ocheja, another victim, recounted being arrested on his way to work and coerced into following the directives of the task force officials in fear for his life.

These accounts raise concerns about the treatment of individuals by law enforcement agencies and highlight the need for thorough investigations and adherence to due process in such cases.
