In a statement issued by PTAD spokesperson Olugbenga Ajayi, it was announced that Miss Tolulope Abiodun Odunaiya will now lead the pension agency.

“We are delighted to inform PTAD pensioners and stakeholders of the appointment of Miss Tolulope Abiodun Odunaiya by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the substantive Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate,” the statement read.

The statement did not provide reasons for Dr. Ejikeme’s removal, which came after her reappointment on October 10, 2023.

Miss Odunaiya officially resumed her role on Monday, November 18, 2024, at PTAD headquarters in Abuja, where she was warmly welcomed by the agency’s staff and management.

Speaking at a brief meeting, she acknowledged the contributions of her predecessors and pledged to lead PTAD into a new era of collaboration and progress.

“It is with a deep sense of responsibility that I address you as the new Executive Secretary of this Directorate. My vision is to create an organization where every individual feels recognized and empowered to contribute meaningfully,” she said.

Miss Odunaiya underscored the pivotal role of pensioners in Nigeria’s development and vowed to focus on their welfare.

“Pensioners are the backbone of our country’s history. It is our responsibility and honor to ensure they receive the care, respect, and timely entitlements they deserve.”

She emphasized aligning PTAD’s operations with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, promising to uphold efficiency, accountability, and compassion in service delivery.

“Together, we can reaffirm the value of our pensioners and make their retirement years fulfilling.”
