Funding for this ambitious program will be derived from one percent of the total annual revenue collected by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), projected to reach N194 billion if targets are met. With preparations completed, registration and application are set to commence, signifying a significant stride towards educational inclusivity.

To qualify for the loan, applicants must meet several requirements, including providing their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) numbers, National Identification Number (NIN), and Bank Verification Number (BVN). Additionally, existing students must furnish their matriculation details to be deemed eligible.

This structured approach aims to ensure that deserving students benefit from the scheme while upholding accountability and efficient fund utilization. The program is expected to alleviate the financial strain on students and their families, facilitating higher education attainment and fostering national development.

Furthermore, the student loan will cover various expenses for successful applicants. These include paying their full tuition fees directly to their institutions and providing stipends for their upkeep. Beneficiaries will receive regular stipends to cater to basic needs such as feeding, photocopying handouts, and data, ensuring they can comfortably navigate their academic journey.
