List Of Those Who Attended FG, NLC And TUC Meeting

President Bola Tinubu has approved a provisional wage increase of N35,000 for all federally employed workers on the treasury payroll, effective for a period of six months.

This announcement was made by Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.

The decision followed consultations between the federal government and labor union leaders at the Presidential Villa

During the meeting, the Federal Government also reiterated its dedication to expediting the provision of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to address transportation challenges resulting from the removal of the PMS subsidy.

Furthermore, the Federal Government pledged to allocate funds for micro and small-scale enterprises and provide a six-month waiver on VAT for diesel. Additionally, it disclosed plans to disburse N75,000 to 15 million households at a rate of N25,000 per month, from October to December.

Governor Abdulrazak Abdulrahman of Kwara, who serves as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, and Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun participated in the meeting virtually.

The meeting was chaired by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Also in attendance were various ministers including Wale Edun (Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy), Simon Lalong (Labour and Employment), Nkeiruka Onyejeocha (State, Labour), and Abubakar Bagudu (Budget and Economic Planning). Other notable attendees included Betta Edu (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation), Doris Uzoka-Anite (Industry, Trade and Investment), Folasade Yemi-Esan (Head of Service of the Federation), and Nuhu Ribadu (National Security Adviser).

The labor delegation was led by NLC President Joe Ajaero, TUC Deputy President Tommy Okon, NLC General Secretary Emma Ugboaja, and TUC General Secretary Nuhu Toro.
