Love Doesn’t Stop Cheating” — Shank Comics Sparks Heated Relationship Talk
Nigerian comedian and content creator Shank Comics has sparked widespread discussion online following his remarks on love, commitment, and infidelity in romantic relationships.
According to Ireporter Online, the comedian, whose real name is Adedeji Adesokan, made the comments during a recent interview where he expressed his views on what he believes influences some men’s behaviour in relationships.
He stated that it is possible for a man to genuinely love his partner while still engaging in extramarital or outside relationships, a claim that has since triggered mixed reactions across social media platforms.
During the interview, Shank Comics explained that, in his opinion, some men are able to separate emotional attachment from physical actions, suggesting that love does not always prevent infidelity.
“I feel like men can multitask. They can love you and still cheat on you. I think they love you enough not to… I don’t think the cheating is trying to hurt you; you get me? But you get hurt in the process,” he said.
He further admitted that his explanation might not resonate with everyone, noting that his position could sound controversial or difficult to justify.
“The more I try to explain this, the more I’m sounding crazy… But yeah, the truth is that men can love you and still like cheating,” he added.
The comments have since generated heated debate online, with some users agreeing that emotional attachment and behaviour can differ, while others strongly rejected his viewpoint, arguing that true love is incompatible with infidelity.
The conversation continues to trend on social media, contributing to broader discussions on trust, loyalty, and commitment in modern relationships.
