In a sudden and heartbreaking turn of events, one of the men collapsed in the midst of the flood. Despite efforts from bystanders to revive him, the man was pronounced dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital. The deceased, who had traveled from Abuja to discuss burial arrangements for his late wife with his in-laws, met his unfortunate demise while en route to the meeting.
