Man Stabs Osun Polytechnic Invigilator During Exam

According to a source who spoke to Osun Defender on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the incident occurred around 3:00 pm last Friday at the Red Block Hall of the institution.

The source reported that the assailant entered the hall after students had been cleared for the afternoon paper and began causing a disturbance.

“The disruptive behavior of the unknown man became unbearable, prompting Mr. Abdul-azeez Abdullahi to confront him. This led to an altercation during which the assailant broke a window louvre and stabbed Mr. Abdul-azeez multiple times, including in the back, hand, and head,” the source recounted.

After the attack, the assailant fled the scene. Mr. Abdul-azeez received first aid at the OSPOLY medical center before being taken to Ore Ofe Hospital in Iree, Osun State.

Confirming the incident, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Tope Abiola, stated that the assailant is not a student of the institution.

“The culprit is not our student. We are aware of the incident and are collaborating with the police to ensure that the assailant is identified and arrested. The staff member who was injured is recovering well,” Dr. Abiola added.
