The Army Headquarters made this announcement through a post on its official X handle, accompanying it with both still and motion images from the operation.
According to the statement, the alleged headquarters, identified as the final stronghold of IPOB and ESN, is situated in the Mother Valley, spanning across Orsu and Ihiala Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Imo and Anambra States, respectively.
Furthermore, the headquarters was purportedly concealed within a forest, situated approximately 5,000 feet below sea level, providing the insurgents with effective cover from aerial surveillance.
The statement also described the location as functioning as the command and control center, as well as the military council headquarters for the terrorists.
