Mr Governor Keep Your Govt And We Keep Our Party Structure: PDP Fires Back At Obaseki

Another expository from PDP members in Edo State.

“POWER CORRUPTS, ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPT ABSOLUTELY”.

The above refers, the old adage as exemplified by the governor of our dear state and his minority migrant jihadist from APC to our dear party PDP where I have been a member since 1998.
Between July and August 2020, governor Godwin Obaseki and his migrant group from the APC whose actions and body language can now be likened to our present-day Fulanis domineering spirit were the weeping boys of APC.

Disgraced and humiliated from APC even as a sitting governor, to order to save him from drowning in the deep blue sea of Adams Oshiomole, after several consultations and appeals, PDP gave him a career and life-saving ticket on a platter of gold.

His first request was to have his deputy from APC run with him. As usual, PDP in its magnanimity obliged. During the electioneering periods, if not all, virtually all the LGA campaign DG’s were his APC migrants.

As soon as the PDP won the elections for by governor Obaseki, his first three key appointments of SSG, chief of staff and deputy chief of staff were his people.
What followed next was a request from the governor for a dissolution of the democratically elected party excos from ward to state level via Democratic Congresses. Mr governor and his jihadist in an attempt to achieve their sinister desire have resorted to cheap blackmail.

First Target was the state chairman of PDP, Dr Tony Aziegbeni whom they alleged collected several millions of naira from the governor. The state chairman was suspended and the allegations investigated and found to be false, hence Dr Aziegbeni was reinstated back to the office.

The next target is now the party, some key leaders, especially Chief Dan Osi Orbih whom they alleged collected over one billion naira from the governor. All of these are in an attempt colour Cheif Orbih and some party leaders whom they know are ready to stand with the party and not sell out. Their campaign of calumny is against Chief Dan Orbih. The same Orbih who tour around the 198 wards in Edo State with the governor leading the campaigns. Today you are blackmailing him with the party that gave you a lifeline when all seemed bleak for you in 2020. Ah Mr Governor! What a betrayal.

Today the subject matter has been christened “HARMONISATION”. What does the governor and his migrant apologists want. Recently, he appointed and swore in eleven commissioners and two SSA’s who are the APC members that followed him to PDP. The remaining 10 slots for commissionership are still his people. Who are they deceiving?
The governor and his people are desperate to take the party structure by force. Why?

Two weeks ago, one of his migrants forged the signature of the Edo State PDP secretary while calling for a manipulated stakeholders meeting. Why this desperation?

From that meeting all his goons have been extra desperate. Above is a picture of their kangaroo HARMONISATION in Akoko Edo LGA. In that meeting, the convener, Alhaji Kabiru Adjoto displayed his total IGNORANCE of the ethics, conduct and structural organization of the pdp. They say they want a part of the structure as exemplified by Mr Jeffrey Obasanmi in the video above of all the positions in the party structure. That’s ok.
My candid response to the request of the governor is this, “LET HARMONISATION BEGIN FROM GOVERNMENT HOUSE”. Charity begins at home.

In lieu of the above, for a transparent, free and fair HARMONISATION at all levels, the governor and chief of staff should come from the new PDP while the deputy governor, SSG and deputy be chief of staff should come from the old PDP. For commissioners, old be PDP should take 10, new PDP 11. For SSA and SA to the governor and deputy governor, board and parastatal appointments should be 50-50 with all portfolios evenly distributed and a legal agreement reached and documented since we can’t trust Mr governor and his jihadist anymore. This is the only true harmonisation that will work. Anything short of this, we, the articulate, virile and vibrant PDP say NO. Mr governor keep your government and we keep our party structure. Moreso the kangaroo suspension of party members and leaders of the pdp by these new migrants and a few older members who have been bribed to call for this illegality should know that all social media suspension is NULL AND VIOD. Let’s be properly guided.
