Dr. Ilori emphasized the importance of preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV and reiterated the nation’s commitment to eliminating AIDS by 2030. Despite alarming statistics, significant progress has been made in some states like Sokoto and Gombe, which reported breakthroughs in suppressing viral loads and eliminating mother-to-child transmission.
