This appeal was delivered by Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 8th Division, during a one-day training organized by the Nigerian Army for social media influencers in Birnin Kebbi, the capital of Kebbi State.
Represented by Brigadier General Shehu Saidu, the Chief of Staff of the 8th Division, Maj-Gen Mutkut highlighted that the military has embraced the use of social media as a means to inform the public about its activities.
The training aimed to enhance national security and foster better relations between the military and civilians.
The Army emphasized its commitment to collaborating with civilian communities to maintain and cultivate a positive relationship that fosters an environment conducive to achieving lasting peace and heightened national security.
