Through a tweet from his official X account on Thursday, the ex-lawmaker emphasized the need for a transformative initiative to address the negative perceptions held by both Nigerians and the international community.

Bruce called attention to the distorted self-image that Nigerians possess, urging the implementation of a program aimed at changing minds and fostering a positive view of the nation.

Drawing a parallel with a previous successful effort, he pointed out that the last effective initiative of this nature occurred under Jerry Gana’s MAMSER.

Expressing concern about the current state of affairs, Bruce underscored the importance of countering pessimistic thoughts about Nigeria with a comprehensive and uplifting approach.

He proposed the revival of a mind-changing program that instills positive, patriotic, enlightening, and wholesome thinking among the citizens.

In a strategic move, the former senator called on the federal government to allocate funds to the National Orientation Agency (NOA). According to him, empowering the NOA would enable the organization to guide the country in the necessary direction.

Bruce argued that without such intervention, the nation might face obstacles to growth.

He emphasized the potential for a well-funded and well-led NOA to trigger a mental shift, ultimately leading to economic, social, and moral revival in Nigeria.
