According to Ireporter Online, Akpabio made the remark during the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16 – Ring Road III Interchange, which connects the Jahi District to the Gwarimpa District in Abuja. The project is among those scheduled for inauguration to commemorate President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office.

Representing President Tinubu at the event, Akpabio praised Wike’s performance, describing him as a “performing Minister” and a “game changer,” while expressing pride in his achievements in office.

He noted that it was difficult to compare Wike’s accomplishments as the former Governor of Rivers State with his current role as FCT Minister, stating that his performance in both positions had been remarkable.

Akpabio further remarked that the FCT had witnessed significant administrative reforms under Wike, including improvements in civil service structure and staff welfare, which he said were not present under previous administrations. He added that workers in the FCT now have clearer career progression opportunities due to reforms implemented in collaboration with President Tinubu.
