Notorious Kidnapper Dogo Oro Killed (HOW IT HAPPENED)
On Friday, the government of Kebbi State announced the demise of a notorious kidnapper, Dogo Oro. Local vigilantes successfully neutralized Oro in Tunga village, located in the Bunza Local Government Area of the North-Western State, as reported by Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor.

Oro had engaged in aggressive attacks, employing sporadic shooting with bows and arrows, targeting the residents of one of the neighboring villages, Kanzanna.
“The security progress report indicated that today, 01/12/2023, from Tunga village in Tilli ward, Bunza local government, a notorious kidnapper called Dogo Oro, who was well known for terrorism in Bunza and Kalgo local government areas, was killed this morning by our men, the vigilantes at Tunga area,” he said in a statement.
The suspected terrorist had been engaging in the abduction of innocent villagers, demanding ransom for their release, stated Idris.
He further mentioned that following the successful operation conducted by the local vigilantes, the residents of the affected communities can now resume their normal business activities without hindrance, with the assurance of the security of their lives and properties.
Commending the courageous efforts of the vigilantes who collaborated with other security operatives, he expressed gratitude for the continuous support of Governor Nasir Idris in addressing the security challenges in specific council areas of the state.
Idris emphasized that prioritizing regular security meetings and providing logistical support for security personnel will be crucial for all security agencies in addressing issues of banditry and criminality in the state.
