The current House of Representatives member representing Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to reconsider his ambition in the best interest of both the southern senatorial district and the ruling party.

Emphasizing the constitutional restrictions, Odimayo pointed out that Aiyedatiwa is ineligible for a third term in office.

“We cannot afford to field a candidate for a single term; it would weaken us in the next election. Our candidate must be capable of serving two terms, as mandated by the constitution. We, in Ondo South, will ensure the APC presents a formidable candidate,” Odimayo stated.

He further asserted, “The APC is the dominant party in Ondo State. It is Ondo South’s turn, and we demand that the party seizes this opportunity. We will not accept anything less than two terms for Ondo South. We must tread carefully to avoid falling into our opponents’ traps.”
