Police Apprehend 15 Phone Thieves Linked To Shila Boys Group

According to reports from DAILY POST, the state Police Command, through its Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed that the recent arrests led to the recovery of nine mobile phones, a POS machine, assorted dangerous weapons, and illicit drugs.

The suspects, identified as Abdullahi Shuaibu (18), Auwal Saleh (18), Usman Abdullahi (21), Auwal Isah (20), Usman Ahmadu (32), Muhammad Abubakar (18), and Jamilu Hassan (19), among others, were apprehended during the Sallah celebrations across Yola Town, Jimeta, and their environs.

CP Dankombo Morris, the Commissioner of Police, expressed gratitude to the people of Adamawa State for their collaboration in combating armed robbery, burglary, and other violent crimes perpetrated by the Shila cult group.

The arrests underscore the police’s commitment to maintaining peace and security within the region, signaling a significant step towards curbing the activities of criminal elements like the Shila Boys.
