Some students who showed symptoms have been isolated and taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for diagnosis. The World Health Organization (WHO) was called in to educate the students on preventive measures. In response, the school’s management and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) have been in communication with relevant health authorities and have started administering booster doses of vaccines to prevent further spread of the disease.
The outbreak has raised concerns about the state of medical facilities at the school and the need for regular doctor consultations at the campus clinic. Parents have urged both the school and the federal government to invest in improving infrastructure, sanitation, and healthcare services to ensure the safety of the students.
