PDP Chieftain Blasts Gov Ododo – ‘This Is A Betrayal Of Trust’
Usman Okai, the People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency in the 2023 elections, has strongly criticized Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo for what he terms a shameful prioritization of personal interests over public welfare during his initial 100 days in office…..READ ALSO PDP Chieftain Exposes Alleged Attempt By Yahaya Bello To Bribe Judge In N80.2 Million Fraud Case
Okai, in a statement addressed to the press, expressed dismay at Ododo’s apparent preference for catering to the whims of former Governor Yahaya Bello, utilizing taxpayers’ funds for personal chauffeuring rather than addressing critical issues like education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
The PDP stalwart lamented that Ododo’s actions represent a betrayal of the trust bestowed upon him by the electorate, sending a disheartening message to hardworking citizens who rely on elected officials to effect positive change.
He emphasized, “Governor Ododo’s actions speak volumes about his character and his commitment to the people he was elected to serve. He has shown himself to be nothing more than a puppet, dancing to the tune of his political masters while neglecting the very people who entrusted him with their futures.”
Okai called for accountability, urging citizens not to turn a blind eye to such misconduct but to demand better from their leaders. He emphasized the importance of ensuring justice and equality for all, asserting that Ododo’s first 100 days in office have been marred by self-interest and negligence, warranting a unified call for improvement and accountability in governance.
