Pere Egbi Issues Strong Warning To Single Women About Living Alone

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian reality TV star Pere Egbi has cautioned young single women in the country against living alone. The former Big Brother Naija housemate, in a recent tweet, emphasized that women should always have someone staying with them, whether it is a friend or a family member.

Egbi stated that living alone is neither safe nor ideal for women, writing, “Personal advice to young women living in Nigeria who are single, don’t live alone by yourself. Have someone stay with you always. A friend, family member/s. It’s never a cool thing to live alone as a woman.”

The advice comes amid reactions to the tragic death of rising Nigerian singer Ifunanya Nwangene, who passed away after being bitten by a snake in her Abuja home. Nwangene, 26, and a former contestant on The Voice Nigeria, had been preparing for her first solo concert when the incident occurred.

Reports indicate that the snake bite happened while she slept, and attempts to save her life were hampered by difficulties in accessing anti-venom at medical facilities. The tragedy has sparked public concern over emergency healthcare services in Nigeria, with many questioning why life-saving treatments are not readily available.
