Pilgrims to Mecca: Lagos, Abuja Pilgrims Asked to Deposit Over N8 Million for 2025 Hajj
Ahead of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, intending pilgrims from Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been advised to prepare financially. The Lagos State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced an initial deposit of N8.5 million for pilgrims in Lagos, while their counterparts in Abuja are required to make an initial payment of N8.4 million.
This announcement comes as part of the early preparation for the spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia. Prospective pilgrims are urged to make the deposit to secure their spots and ensure smooth arrangements for their pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.
The pilgrimage to Mecca, one of the five pillars of Islam, remains a once-in-a-lifetime journey for many Muslims worldwide. However, with rising costs and the logistical demands of organizing the Hajj, intending pilgrims are encouraged to begin planning early.
For those intending to embark on this spiritual journey, the deposit will cover essential travel and accommodation expenses, including flights, hotel bookings, feeding, and other services necessary for a seamless experience during the Hajj.
Pilgrims are advised to comply with the instructions from the relevant authorities to avoid any last-minute complications.
